Distraught parents of 20 prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members kidnapped in Imo State have issued an urgent plea for help following a dire execution threat from their captors. The abduction, which has thrown families into panic, came with a staggering N1 billion ransom demand and a 24-hour ultimatum.

Speaking on behalf of the grieving families, representatives revealed that the gunmen explicitly warned they would execute the young graduates if the exorbitant sum is not delivered before the deadline expires. The prospective corps members were ambushed and whisked away into the forest while traveling to their assigned orientation camps.

The helpless parents expressed deep anguish over their inability to raise such an astronomical figure within the short timeframe. Desperate to save their children’s lives, they called on the Federal Government, security agencies, and state authorities to intervene immediately and launch a rescue mission.

As the countdown ticks away, tension mounts across the nation, placing immense pressure on security forces to locate the victims and prevent a tragedy. Families now wait in agony, pleading for swift official action before time runs out.
