
His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, the Olubadan of Ibadan will headline the famous cultural festival of the Erinmo people in Osun State, called “Agidanyin Founder’s Day Festival” in Erinmo-Ijesa kingdom.
The historically imbued royal festival held annually in Erinmo land to celebrate and pay homage to ancestors and descendants of the kingdom, will kick on Saturday, November 7, 2026 with lots of cultural activities to mark the ceremony.
Oba Ladoja who ascended the Olubadan throne few years back would be making a debut at such culturally inclined festival as a special royal father of the day, alongside other monarchs and traditional rulers.
According to Oba Ladoja, the visit of Elerinmo to his palace, is a welcome idea expected among traditional rulers to further cement the existing cordial and mutual relationship among the monarchs, as contained in an acceptance speech released by his Chief Press Secretary, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga.
Olubadan, in his speech reiterated his earlier call to government to give traditional rulers constitutional roles to be able to discharge their responsibilities as at when due.
Oba Ladoja further charged traditional rulers in Yorubaland in particular, and Nigeria as a whole to unite and promote mutual understanding and respect, to jointly move the country forward.

Responding to his acceptance, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, the Arowotawaya II, Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa Kingdom appreciated Oba Ladoja’s warm, royal reception at Olubadan palace and quality time spent together during the visit.
Presenting the invitation letter to Arusa 1, Elerinmo of Erinmo mentioned that spending time in Olubadan’s presence was not only a great honour but also a deeply memorable experience, adding that his humility, wisdom, generousity and fatherly disposition continue to demonstrate why Oba Ladoja is held in high esteem by the people and why his reign commands such profound respect.
“I am particularly grateful to your Majesty for graciously accepting my invitation to attend Agidanyin Founder’s Day Festival in Erinmo which brings tremendous joy to me and my people and eagerly look forward to receive Your Imperial Majesty with the deserved honour befitting your exalted throne,” said Kabiyesi Elerinmo.
In his prayers to him, Oba Elerinmo said: “Baba, may Almighty God continue to preserve you, grant you long life in sound health, abundant wisdom and strength and continue to bless your reign with peace, honour and accomplishments.”
Oba Ajayi prayed to God to let Olubadan throne continue to stand as a beacon of unity, wisdom, culture and progress, stressing that generations continue to benefit from Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience and quality leadership.
